Frequently asked questions about the plugins "SEO-filter"
Why isn't the H1 header and description changing, even though everything was done according to the instructions?
1) Most likely, the header is set in a custom way (for example, via advanced options). The Plugin «SEO-filter» cannot modify such headers. The category name should be displayed using the standard variable {$category.name}.
The same applies to the description.
To fix this, use the {$is_seofilter} variable and conditions.
Example of how it might look:
{if $is_seofilter|default:false} {if $category.description} {$category.description} {/if} {else} {custom output code for description} {/if}
2) Another possible reason is a conflict with other SEO plugin, for example:
- Additional description for category
- SEO description for category
- SEO-Tags
If any of these are installed, try disabling them in the Installer and test the SEO-filter functionality.
The filters have been created, but I don't see links to them in the sitemap.xml file. Why?
With automatic sitemap update: "SEO-filter" links for sitemap.xml are not generated "on the fly", but are gradually collected in the plugins cache (and this cache is not related in any way to the engine cache in wa-cache). The speed of cache generation depends on many factors (e.g., number of websites/categories/products/filters, visit frequency). To speed up the process, configure sitemap updates based on CRON.
When updating sitemap via CRON - Console command for CRON:
- collects links in the plugins "SEO-filter" cache, the link list is filled gradually
- performs cache generation in small steps (runs in less than a minute)
- makes sure that multiple instances of this command are not running at the same time
In crontab, you need to schedule execution every minute ( * * * * * ) to speed up the process.
The filters are configured according to the instructions, but when filtering on the website, view links like https://mysite.com/categoriya/undefined/ appear. How to fix this?
Add the frontend_category hook to the category.html theme:
<!-- plugin hook: 'frontend_category' --> {* @event frontend_category.%plugin_id% *} {foreach $frontend_category as $_}{$_}{/foreach}
