Many people have encountered a situation where a buyer creates an order for another person. If delivery integration is configured, it is logical to replace the buyer in the system. Otherwise, it will be necessary to manually create a copy of the order with the recipient's data or change the data in the shipping company's delivery note.

Problems with simply changing the buyer's data

If you simply change the buyer's data in the system, all previous orders of that buyer will also be updated. This leads to confusion and goes against common sense.

Lack of a standard tool in Shop-Script.

Shop-Script does not have a standard tool for replacing the buyer in an order, which makes work difficult in such cases. This plugin fixes this inconvenience, allowing for quick and convenient replacement of the buyer in an order.

How does the buyer replacement process work?

1. Find the buyer's name
   To start, place the cursor over the buyer's name in the order. A replacement icon will appear.
2. Click the replacement icon
   Clicking on the icon will open a window where the system will ask for the ID of the new buyer.
3. Find the ID of the new buyer
   The buyer's ID can be found on the buyer details page. Alternatively, you can search for the user by phone number or email address.
4. Add the missing buyer
   If the required buyer does not exist in the system, you must first add them before replacing.
