Plugin "IMAP" adds the ability to receive new news from the mail server via the IMAP protocol to the transaction source settings.
Use an IMAP connection if your mail server does not support the POP3 protocol, which is used by default in CRM to receive new email news. Configure the email address that will be used to receive calls from customers. Provide an existing email address; it can be hosted on any mail server, such as the popular Gmail, Yahoo! mail service, and should be available for IMAP connection.
NOTE! It is recommended to use an email address that was specially created only for working with the CRM application. After configuring and saving this source, all news from the specified mailbox will be transferred to CRM and deleted from the mail server!
Thanks to IMAP, all news are synchronized on an ongoing basis between the server and the CRM application. This means that any change made to the mailbox (e.g., reading, deleting news) will be immediately reflected in CRM.
IMAP allows you to download the entire history of email news without having to download them to your device. All news are stored on the server, which allows access to them from various devices and applications.
The IMAP protocol supports many mail providers, such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo! and others. Thanks to this, there are no restrictions in choosing a mail server, and the user has full freedom in configuring their inbox.
IMAP is a convenient and modern solution that improves email news management in CRM. Thanks to full synchronization, flexibility, and the ability to access news from various devices, IMAP becomes an indispensable tool in the daily work of sales and customer service teams.
